1ST MEDITERRANEAN KINESIOTAPING CONGRESS

WELCOME FROM THE CONGRESS CHAIRS

Dear Participants,

We are proud to invite you to the 1st Mediterranean Kinesio Taping Congress organized for the first time internationally by the Turkish Kinesio Taping Association, which is the Turkey branch of "Kinesio Taping Association International" and "Kinesio University".
The scope of the congress is the highly valued sessions where the evidence-based applications of Kinesio taping, and its effects on chronic pain, neurological approach, performance improvement, and musculoskeletal problems will be discussed, as well as the most frequently used areas of clinic and various taping methods specialized in these areas. In addition, it is aimed to provide a high level of information sharing with the participation of very valuable masters in the international platform. The workshop will be included in detailed workshops of Kinesio taping techniques in pediatric, spine, lymphedema and swallowing topics. We would be delighted to welcome our colleagues and students in Ankara between 8-10 December 2017, hoping that the congress will be efficient for all participants.

Abstract submission deadline: 8 November, 2017
Early-bird registration deadline: 10 November, 2017

 

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

• Abstract submission starts on September 1st, 2017 and the deadline for the abstract submission will be on November 8th, 2017.
• All abstracts should be sent to abstracts@kinesioturkey.org. Please follow the instructions and provide additional contact information (telephone number and e-mail address) in the email text.
• The committee will review all abstracts. Only oral presentation will be accepted. The conclusion for the acceptance will be announced via e-mail.
• The corresponding author will be responsible to have permission from the authors of the abstract.
• Please follow the instructions while you are preparing your abstract, 

• The topic of the abstracts should include kinesiotaping.
• The language should be Turkish or English (Only English abstracts are accepted only for international participants).
• The title should be less than 200 characters.
• Provide Title, Authors, Affiliations and Abstract.
• The authors’ titles should be provided as Name, SURNAME.
• Affiliations should be numbered (superscript) including the location.
• Abstract should include Purpose, Methods, Results (provide p values).
• Provide 3-5 Key words from MeSH (Medical Subject Headings, http://www.nlm.nih.gov/mesh/MBrowser.html).
• Format your abstract by using 12 point Times New Roman, double spaced with 2,5 cm space on the sides of the page by using MS Word.
• All abstracts should be less than 250 words. Table and figures are not accepted.
• The abstract should be in one paragraph.
• Provide the presenter author by underline the name on the title list.

• If your abstract accepted for presentation and for any reasons you will not able to present the abstract, inform us before 10th November 2017.
• Accepted abstract will be published on Journal of Exercise Therapy and Rehabilitation as a supplement.
• At least one author should be registered before 15thNovember, 2017.
